As you all must be aware of the fact that institutes offering any kind of technical or managerial education must be recognised by AICTE. AICTE stands for All India Council for Technical Education, which is a supreme authority in India that controls and grants permission to any institute for any kind of course. AICTE even has set guidelines for Executive MBA programme which all institutes must following, failing which their recognition could be taken-away. Every second student in India dreams of a career in management which leaves them with no option but to take admission in any college which offers management courses. Professionals who are willing to get into Executive MBA must look only for those institutes which are recognised either by UGC or AICTE. Genuineness of any MBA programme solely depends on the recognition given to an institute by either UGC or AICTE. It’s best to avoid those MBA programmes which are offered by institutes not recognised by AICTE. As far as Executive MBA is concerned, AICTE asks management institutes to offer only those executive programmes which lasts for more than a year. Courses falling under Executive MBA which does not have duration of at least 12 months are not recognised by AICTE.

To be on the safer side, it’s better to avoid those offers which promise big pay-hikes and low fees structure but its programme does not stretch for more than 12 months. On top of that, if the institutes are running classes at premises which they do not own falls under the institutes which would be violated by AICTE soon.
