Part Time MBA and Executive MBA (Difference)
Some of the newbie who don’t know much about different management programmes or unaware about it do get confused between Part Time MBA and Executive MBA. Executive MBA programmers are designed for executives who have gained a lot of experience in industries and know much about functional management but want to add to their skills and capabilities and adapt themselves to the current scenario of management. Part Time MBA is meant for those graduates who are not able to take much time out of their schedule and tend to attend it on part-time basis.
Part-Time MBA programmes are though, offered by different universities and institutes but don’t keep that worth as compared to the executive programmes being offered at different institutes. Surveys have stated that organisations prefer professionals from Executive MBA as compared to Part-Time MBA. Part-Time MBA more or less enables an individual to understand the basic concepts of management learning while an Executive MBA helps an individual to develop skills that are needed at top positions in any industry. Major difference which one might observe between Part-Time MBA and Executive one is that you don’t need to have a working experience in Part Time MBA while more than 5 years of experience is required for one to enrol for an executive programme at any institute.
Difference in their popularity arises too, executives who work in an industry don’t mind paying full attention to an executive programme rather opting for a Part-Time MBA programme. One who is 27 years old or older than that can only opt for Executive MBA while there is no such age limits set for Part-Time MBA. Organisation too encourages executives for an executive programme over part-time one. As per the future prospects, Executive MBA wins the race here too. But if you are not 27 years old and don’t have a good experience, you can opt for Part-Time MBA which is best in its own way.
