Difference Between Traditional MBA and Executive MBA
For a few there is big question in the mind as to what is the difference between traditional MBA and the Executive MBA. In general the Traditional MBA is for those people who are still young and want to improve and develop their managerial skills. On the other hand Executive MBA is for those individuals who are already trained in management and have gained some experience too. It is for them to move ahead in the same direction to polish the skills.
For the traditional MBA people from all the disciplines are attracted to enter the field and become masters of business management. The students are generally full time students who are not working or taken a break from it. On the other hand, Executive MBA is for those who are seniors and are working. They do not take a break but opt for this program as part time base to hone their skills, to move ahead in the career.
Those who want to join the traditional MBA there is not much that is essential in the profile. One needs to have a bachelor’s degree from any discipline whereas for the EMBA one needs to have a working experience. Other than this the classes for traditional MBA are regular and for the EMBA the classes are held only on the weekends.
During the first two years of the program in the EMBA the students are not required to go in for the internship as they are already working, whereas in traditional MBA one has to compulsorily go for the internship.
EMBA is a major discipline for business management. The curriculum is well designed with respect to work field. For traditional MBA one has to choose carefully from the wide curriculum. One needs higher level guidance but for EMBA one has experience so a little knowledge and experience can work.
